AreteUp Account Registration When you register on the AreteUp website, create and update your learner profile, and purchase online courses on the website, we and the third parties we work with will collect the following information: - Name, email address, and phone number (Required) - Gender, birthday, country, address, avatar, secondary email, and LinkedIn address (Optional) - Credit/debit card information - Data related to your use of our website and registration for online courses - Other information you choose to provide regarding your interests, educational background, occupation and work experience, learning goals, and other general learning preferences. This information is used to recommend courses on our website or, if you have opted in, to recommend courses via email and personalize our services according to your needs. - When you choose to register or log in to Areteup using a Google account, we will collect the email address, name, and avatar provided by Google. The collection of this information is intended to simplify the account creation process, verify your identity, and provide you with a personalized user experience. Areteup’s use of information obtained through Google APIs and its transfer to any other applications will strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy. We will not use your Google user data for advertising purposes, nor will we sell your data to third parties. Online Course Learning - When you participate in online courses, we and third parties may collect and store the following additional information: - Address, date of birth, phone number, country of nationality, and age (Required for certain courses) - Any email communications with AreteUp for seeking user support or sending course-related inquiries - Any content you submit during the course, such as written assignments, quizzes, and exams, as well as the results of any assessments - Any data and documents you submit for identity verification when required for obtaining certificates or academic accreditation (Collected by our third-party identity verification providers, who may store your information solely for identity verification purposes) - Responses you voluntarily provide to AreteUp, course educators, or third parties in course-related questionnaires, surveys, or user research

How We Use Your Information

In providing you with our online services and products, we and the third parties we cooperate with will collect, store, and use your personal information for the following purposes: - Managing your learner account; - Providing you with technical support; - Sending you email notifications and updates regarding the courses you have ordered; - Allowing universities or other institutions to monitor and track your progress if you are taking courses that lead to academic credit, professional certification, and/or other formal learning recognition; - Occasionally contacting you to invite you to share your views and experiences with AreteUp, and publishing customer reviews and ratings of our courses on our website or other media channels; - For marketing purposes, where you have consented to receive marketing communications, which may include sending you information, news, and offers regarding courses on our website as well as third-party offers via email, telephone, and/or software tools such as WhatsApp. If you do not wish to receive marketing messages from us, you can unsubscribe by sending an email to support@learn.areteup.com or by replying “stop” on WhatsApp. - Providing your personal information to universities you have expressed interest in when conducting activities with higher education institution partners, so they can evaluate whether a student can join the university's corresponding study program. Any such data collection will also follow the university's own privacy policy; - Using your personal data to contact you regarding relevant educational opportunities when you inquire about specific courses, course providers, or types of learning.

Who We May Share Your Information With

For the purposes mentioned above, we may share your information with the following third parties. Please note that any third party's use of your personal data will be subject to their own privacy policy and individual obligations under applicable data protection laws. We recommend that you carefully review any third-party privacy policies that may apply to you. 1.Possible recipients of your information include: - Our payment service providers: (i) Tamra, (ii) Stripe, and (iii) Amazon Payment Services; - Our technical service provider: Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. We will share information for log statistics and analysis to help optimize service functions and performance, and improve service quality and user experience; - Universities and other institutions that provide online courses on our website; - University partners: If you submit an inquiry regarding a specific program, we will share your personal data with the university offering that program. 2.Without your consent, we will not transfer, sell, or otherwise disclose your data to any third party for commercial purposes. As a user, you have the right to access, rectify, correct, or update any of your personal data.
